Literature Text
Laughter will come soonest after tears
Just as dawn will break a night of fears
Just as night will fade and turn to day
I will come and soothe your tears away
In this endless loop of Life and Death
Best will follow worst, so save your breath
Though deepest dark may threaten to surround
There's always light just waiting to be found
I cannot pretend to know it all
For pride will constantly precede a fall
Yet in this world where opposites hold reign
I hope to someday see you once again
Just as dawn will break a night of fears
Just as night will fade and turn to day
I will come and soothe your tears away
In this endless loop of Life and Death

Though deepest dark may threaten to surround
There's always light just waiting to be found

Not Yet
I’m on the cliff of success
But too afraid to take the plunge
The rough water scares me
And the ground is the only home I know
I admit I am afraid of change
Though most my friends
Have left this place
I still alone stand on this cliff
The last one left
Feeling stiff
Not one muscle moves
Neither eye blinks
The winds are strong
My legs are tired
But I remain standing here
peering over the edge of my cliff
knowing one day I’ll have to make a move
but I suppose just not yet

i realize these wry smiles have no place in any honest attempt-
i'm reaching, i feel, thinly stretching any solidarity we have. oh please,
hang on-

Worldbuilder
I knew a man, once.
He had no name, only the name we gave him.
Worldbuilder.
I would often wonder if he had a name, or even a parent, as I watched him make his slow way down the street through our insulated little town every day. The same path, never looking up, only looking weary. No one knew where he came from, or where he went. Yet we all knew what he was.
Worldbuilder.
He had never bothered anyone, never even spoken. I suspected, secretly, that if he ever did speak, his voice would be as rusty as the old gate down the back of Nan’s farm. To our little town, he was just another part of the scenery; a phenomenon so ancient it didn

huh... don't know about the last stanza... odds are I'm going to submit this to RawEmotion's 'laughter as medicine' theme, although it doesn't seem to fit... hmmm... not so sure about the title either... why is this one such a pain?

This is quite good. I's suggested replacing "will follow" with "follows" in this sentece "Best will follow worst, so save your breath" in order to improve flow, though.
I really like how some of the words are commonly used, yet the way in which they used are fresh and original. Very nice.
